Employers are legally required to provide all new employees with the Fair Work Information Statement (FWIS) at the commencement of their employment. The latest version of the FWIS was released on 1 July 2025 so now is the time to make sure you’re using the most up-to-date version.

If you’re hiring:
Casual employees – you must also provide them with the Casual Employment Information Statement (CEIS)
Fixed term employees – you must also provide the Fixed Term Employment Information Statement
These documents set out important rights and entitlements, and failing to issue them can put your business at risk of non-compliance with the Fair Work Act.
